The GeoPAC® , a revolution for pressuremeter test

THE AUTOMATISATION OF A WHOLE PROCESS

Apageo has developed a new way to perform pressuremeter test according to the EN ISO 22476-4 standard.
GeoPAC® is a smart equipment that manages all the different steps of the test: standard test, pressure loss, volume loss, probes bleeding. Pressure increments and pressure lag settings are also automated.
GeoPAC® makes the whole process easier to conduct for the operator, reinforces the reliability of the results, and reduces the time of preparation.

GeoPAC® is driven by its UMPC (Ultra Mobile PC)GeoBOX®: it orders the execution of the test though wifi, letting the Automatic Pressuremeter the reactivity and smartness to implement the test. Thanks to GeoBOX®, the extracted data could be either treated on the site or sent via a GPRS system to the head office.

How does it work?

MÉNARD PRESSUREMETER TEST: A WORLDWIDE RENOWNED METHOD TO TEST SOIL RESISTANCE

In 1955, Louis Ménard who was a student at the Ecole National des ponts et chaussées in Paris took out a patent on an apparatus that was about to rock the world of Geotechnic : the pressuremeter.
With this apparatus, Louis Ménard wanted to test in situ the pressure breaking point of soil and its deformation modulus in order to measure soil resistance.
In I960, the pressuremeter was already used in Belgium, Germany, Sweden and Canada.
Exclusively produced in France, the pressuremeter is now used all over the world.
